Brings back a flood of memories. One fairly recent, when a woman with a thick foreign accent called and asked for a reference on my brother-in-law who works for an agency that I’m not at liberty to disclose. However, the acronym for the undisclosed agency is FBI. Now wouldn’t you think speaking fairly decent English would be a skill set required to have her job? Evidently not. The interview with her was evidence that the U.S. still regularly tortures enemy combatants as well as unfortunate people who provide references over the telephone.

I must admit, writers who went to Canada on their missions are soooooooo coooooool. I mean, cool enough that Mr. Head Like a Hole himself would ask one out on a date. What is it that seeps into the souls of these Canadian missionaries that makes them so great?

I’m going to have to think about it. After all, I went on my mission to Toronto.
